For many years now local Rotary clubs have initiated and assisted in running a number of major national sporting events ….. the Cape Argus Cycle Tour, the Ebenezer Mile swim, the Comrades Marathon, the Two Oceans, the Midmar Mile and many others.
The Rotary Kruger to Canyons (K2C) Cycle Tour is Hoedspruit Rotary’s major fund raising event and takes place in July each year.
The Rotary K2C Cycle Tour is a 100km one day event traversing the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Region designated by UNESCO in Oct 2001. It is important to note that it is a ‘tour’ not a race.

The successful inaugural cycle tour was first run in August 2015, and it is now an annual, unique and prestigious event for riders, their support teams, families and friends.
The route starts near the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park, traverses the world renowned private reserves of Timbavati with its famous white lions, Thornybush with its world renowned lodges, Kapama with its cheetah breeding centre, finaly into the Blue Canyon Conservancy. The finish is at the Swadini Resort in the equally famous Blyde Rver Canyon -
